BMC Members’ and Friends’ Reunion
Come and help us celebrate the Bush Music Club’s 70th year at the Goulburn Club on Sunday 26 May.
The plan for the Sunday:
- Welcome and cuppa between 9:15 and 9:45
- Talk about various aspects of the Bush Music Club’s history between 10 and 11 (Sharyn Mattern, Chris Woodland, Ralph Pride, Dave Johnson, George Bolliger and Helen Romeo)
- Music and Song session with selections from Singabouts throughout the years
- Hearty stew and catch-up between 12:30 and 1:30
- Then over to our members and friends: an opportunity to share a favourite tune, yarn, song, or poem. You may like to just listen or tell us what the Bush Music Club has meant to you over the years.
There is no registration charge but the stew for lunch will be $12 (payable at the Bar).
To register for the day and to help with catering, please email Karen on bmcmail1954@gmail.com and indicate whether you would like a meat or vegetarian stew.
The activities on the day will be upstairs in the Club. Unfortunately, there is no lift access but the Goulburn Club has been raising money for the last few years for a lift.
Why not make a weekend of it? The Goulburn Club at 19 Market St, overlooking Belmore Park, often has a music session on Friday nights. Goulburn offers lots of activities for the Saturday, including taking their self-guided Heritage Tour throughout the city, walking on the new trail along the banks of the Wollondilly River or meeting friends and relaxing at the many cafes and eateries. The Visitor Information Centre in Goulburn is situated at 202 Sloane St, near the Railway Station.
